Off The Tee

Golf season is already underway. The Norsemen have had two meets, both of the scramble formats, this week. The first one was Monday, the first day of school, at Fox River Golf Club in North Aurora. The best score was a 79, shot by Cole Krug and Jack Clausel, followed by an 81 shot by Tyler Kaufman and Zach Ward. The next meet was the Norsemen Scramble, which is a five man scramble hosted by Newark at Whitetail Ridge on Yorkville. The Norseman shot a 66 and finished fourth in the eight-teem field.
Coach Jim Hissong and the team have welcomed many newcomers to the team; Junior Dylan Emerson, Sophomores Kendall Endres and Zach Anderson, and Freshmen Cameron Myre, Will Clausel, Neal Knutson, Caleb Deirzen. The Norsemen have improved every year since their inception, and look to improve on last years season.
